Whether you’re new to open water or seeking to improve your skills, our expert coaches are here to guide you every step of the way. Perfect for all levels, from beginners to seasoned triathletes, our clinic offers personalized instruction, safety tips, and confidence-building techniques in a supportive environment.
What to We’ll Teach:
- Safety tips whether you’re practicing or racing.
- Which gear to use and how to prepare for open water swimming.
- How to get a wetsuit on and off.
- What to do pre-race so you experience less shock at swim start, especially in colder water.
- Swim entry and positioning yourself for success.
- What to do when things go wrong (like getting kicked in the head or having your goggles fog up).
- Sighting, pacing, and open water swim techniques.
- How to draft and improve your efficiency in traffic.
- Swim exit strategy and how to prepare for transition.
- Open water simulations to practice race starts, turns, and finishes.

Clinic Schedule
Swim Clinic 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
There will be approximately 30-45 minutes of instruction followed by approximately 30 minutes of open water swimming with feedback from our coaches. Participants will have the chance to obtain feedback in real-time.
Free Swim 10:15 am – 11:00 am
Opportunity to free swim and practice what you learned with a coach on-hand for support.
